Kate Watson
I am a South West UK based photographer.
My work is inspired by rich colour palettes, patterns and unusual locations. I love to collaborate with other creatives, developing ideas to construct images which tell a narrative. My favourite type of photographs are the ones that are slightly odd and ambiguous but aesthetically beautiful.
With a background as a picture editor and shoot producer, I enjoy all aspects of the production. From generating ideas and concepts to creating mood-boards; finding locations and bringing together a creative team to produce striking visual content. I speak fluent French which has been useful with organising shoots abroad.
I also film and edit short artist and maker videos. I find this process fascinating and I love the insight it gives into creative minds.
I enjoy working on a variety of projects and run photography and zine making workshops through ‘The Thinking Press’, with photographer and philosophy teacher Rachel Poulton.
